Steve Nichols Marine Designs has been operating since the early 1990's and has extensive experience in the commercial vessel industry providing new designs and proposals, project management, stability evaluation and reports and structural design and engineering.  These are just a small sample of the services we can provide.

It is often said that Naval Architecture is part science and part art, and because of this, combining the two fields most often results in the need for compromise. What is really an art is making these compromises and producing a functional craft that still satisfies the owner’s and our own sense of asthetics.

At Steve Nichols Marine Designs we are committed to providing a service where our clients feel that they are part of the process not just a bystander. We believe that a design belongs to the owner as much as to us and we will therefore encourage you to contribute to the initial concept. Our job during this conceptual phase is to guide you once or twice round the design spiral, providing technical and practical advice. Once the concept is completed we will go round the spiral many more times refining the design and optimising the vessel to suit your requirements.
